The Ljubljana Urban Tours project is run by community-conscious locals. It is based on scholarly research and everyday-life experience.

While appreciating Ljubljana’s Roman, Medieval, Austro-Hungarian and Socialist history and taking you into the heart of the Old Town, our tours focus also on contemporary social and cultural characteristics of the Slovenian capital, including its various subcultures, urban lifestyles, feminism, graffiti, street art, urban gardening and other urban and alternative practices.

The Ljubljana Urban Tours project tries to be an important part of the local community, promoting its creative traits through city walks for small groups and inspecting its social aspects through in-depth research.

Ljubljana Urban Tours is a cultural tourism project of the Urbana Vrana institute.

Coming from the authentic local cultural scene, our guides combine historic and art knowledge, on the one hand, and contemporary sociology and cultural studies, on the other hand, in order to give you the most amazing stories and interpretations both of the ancient and of the contemporary Ljubljana.
